A Coastal Chic Incentive Trip Along the San Diego Bay

When it comes to multi-day events, it’s important to set the tone right from the start. For this April incentive trip in sunny San Diego, our team did just that with a splashy, surf break-themed welcome experience on a private beach. Guests were greeted by colorful striped surfboards, an outdoor bar dressed up with rattan furnishings and tropical plants, and live entertainment from local band The Ten West Orchestra, followed by a poolside mixer. Making the most of the gorgeous setting — a luxury waterfront resort perched on a private 15-acre peninsula — we infused a refined coastal aesthetic into every event, including an al fresco awards luncheon, where prizes were presented to top achievers. Plus, to ensure guests never worried about how they’d get from event to event, DCi seamlessly managed all transportation services throughout the trip.

After a sun and fun-filled five days of playing golf, browsing our custom-designed gifting marketplace, visiting nearby popular attractions, and attending other on-site events at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort, it was time for a showstopping finale to cap off the trip. The event’s final flourish? An evening at the USS Midway Museum, where attendees were able to roam the floating museum and learn the history of the longest-serving 20th-century aircraft carrier. For a truly dazzling sendoff, the experience culminated in a custom drone show that illuminated the sky over this legendary venue.
