Looking for the next hot spot for your big event? As one of the premier event planners and destination management companies in the country, DCi’s experts always have their finger on the pulse of new developments on the horizon. Our team is constantly on the lookout for flexible, unique properties in exciting, up-and-coming cities — and it’s even better if these spaces are new or recently renovated, and the locations are just a bit off the beaten track.
If you’re curious about our team’s findings, you’re in luck. From storied grand dame hotels with Victorian-inspired courtyard gardens to sprawling complexes complete with world-class art installations, here are five of the most sought-after event spaces in 2025 — according to DCi’s experts.

1. The Hotel Del Coronado in Coronado, CA

This stunning beachfront property across the bay from San Diego has been hosting guests in SoCal style since 1888 — and DCi has been working with the hotel for more than 25 of those years. Most recently, we crafted four distinctive looks and vibes for four spaces on the property: an elegant reception on the lawn, a relaxed beachfront social, a dazzling gala in the Crown Room, and a gathering themed around The Wizard of Oz, in homage to author L. Frank Baum, who wrote multiple books in the series while staying at the Del. (He also designed the chandeliers in the Crown Room — talk about multi-talented!)

Our team is excited to continue our partnership with the Del team as they unveil the results of the hotel’s multi-phase revitalization project, showcasing its origins in the Victorian period. The renovations and additions will include two new onsite restaurants (Nobu Del Coronado, from renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa, and The Veranda), and reimagined period-style guest rooms. The Victorian courtyard garden will feature a mix of botanicals and citrus trees, harking back to the original landscape design, and the bronze Venus that once stood there has been returned to her place of honor. Our designers are already dreaming up fresh ways to tap into this lush, romantic ambiance.

2. HALL Park in Frisco, TX

Even on its own, the HALL Park Hotel, with 20,000 square feet of versatile indoor and outdoor event space, would be a fabulous event destination — but this property offers so much more. It’s part of an entire community focused around culture and art, featuring world-class contemporary art installations, upscale and casual dining options, and resort-style amenities. Performances, farmers markets, and community events all take place in Kaleidoscope Park, which is set for a $14 million expansion that will add a water feature, stage, and outdoor movie screen. HALL Park is also home to the Texas Sculpture Garden, the largest private collection of contemporary Texas sculpture ever assembled, with some 200 public works on view.

DCi’s planners can’t wait to work with this one-of-a-kind destination by leveraging its strengths and taking them up a notch. For example, we imagine incorporating the hotel’s contemporary art installations into the event design, creating an immersive cultural experience for attendees. The expansive green spaces of Kaleidoscope Park are perfect for staging open-air concerts, food festivals, or wellness retreats.

3. Otonomus Hotel in Las Vegas, NV

Opening in summer 2025, the Otonomus bills itself as the world’s first AI-powered hotel. This innovative property offers a digital concierge service, interactive AI assistants, and smart features that allow guests to customize every aspect of their stay, from dining preferences to room temperature. You even fill out a gamified onboarding questionnaire before you arrive to help the hotel tailor your experience.

We couldn’t imagine a better place to bring people together in the most modern of ways — via virtual reality experiences. Within our Virtual Reality Zones, attendees can explore virtual environments, participate in immersive activities, and collaborate to complete digital missions. When they come back to earth, they can relax poolside, sip a cocktail at the rooftop bar, and enjoy Lebanese delicacies at a restaurant run by Top Chef winner Charbel Hayek.

4. Omni Fort Lauderdale in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Imagine if a cruise ship crawled onto land and stood up straight — like one of those illustrations of fish evolving into people. That’s what the Omni Fort Lauderdale looks like: a glittering, multi-leveled structure with waterfront views and a palm-lined outdoor pool deck. Opening in late fall 2025, the hotel is connected to the Broward County Convention Center and features expansive meeting spaces, six dining venues, and a spa.

For the DCi team, the Omni represents a scintillating blend of seaside charm and urban ambiance. We’re picturing beach parties, yoga on the sand, or wellness retreats, paired with stylish cocktail receptions on the deck and poolside networking events. Fort Lauderdale is an emerging event destination, with tons of great shopping and dining, easy airport access, and annual festivals to build events around, like the Fort Lauderdale Air Show and the International Boat Show.

5. Pendry Nashville in Nashville, TN

DCi loves Nashville — our team has been crafting Music City experiences since its pre-bachelorette party days, and we’re always scouting new spots in this vibrant destination. We’ll have to wait a minute for Pendry Nashville (it opens in 2027), but it’ll be worth it.

Located in the Paseo South Gulch neighborhood close to downtown, this sure-to-be-classy property features 180 guestrooms, plenty of dining options, a rooftop pool and bar with panoramic views of the city, and 10,000 square feet of indoor meeting and event space. In designing events for the hotel, we’ll lean into what the city does best, with activities like songwriting workshops, live music, and music industry panels — all wrapped up in a cowboycore aesthetic.
