We sat down with DCi Director of Sales and Business Development Stephanie Luczynski to get her input on which virtual event offerings clients want to continue utilizing at in-person events.
Virtual Team-Bonding for a Global Audience
After trying to figure out how to best serve clients while everyone was housebound, Luczynski and her team realized that team-bonding was missing from the remote-work culture.
“We decided to create fun, one-off, virtual team-building activities to help teams bond,” said Luczynski. From packaging cocktail-making kits in eco-friendly packaging and delivering them to team members far and wide to livestreaming a mixologist whipping up artisanal drinks from DCi’s in-house studio, the event production team at DCi created virtual experiences for teams to have fun together from home.
And these kinds of activities look like they’re here to stay. According to Forbes, an estimated 70 percent of the workforce will be working remotely, either full time or part of the time, by 2025 – which is why we’re getting excited about developing more virtual team-bonding. Nobody does it better than DCi.
“We really delved deep into the world of gifting. Amenities has always been a service that DCi offered, but it has certainly grown and will be a big part of our business for years to come.”
Gifting
“We really delved deep into the world of gifting. Amenities has always been a service that DCi offered, but it has certainly grown and will be a big part of our business for years to come,” said Luczynski.
DCi used to offer gifting as an auxiliary service, typically to complement in-person events, such as curated welcome gifts for folks traveling to a conference or gift bags for guests to take home after a day of meetings. But the 2020 holiday season gave DCi a chance to perfect its gifting and fulfillment services.
With more companies than ever before requesting to send their employees a token of gratitude for adapting to their new work circumstances, DCi became a force for sending perfectly packaged gifts to employees’ doorsteps.
Virtual Check-In & Touchless Collateral
Although DCi will continue to support virtual events and global teams with the aforementioned innovations, we’re also thrilled to be producing in-person gatherings again! And if you do happen to attend an in-person event by DCi this year, there’s a chance you might see some lingering virtual elements.
Multiple clients have expressed a desire for event check-in that can be done with the touch of an iPhone, or conference worksheets that attendees can pull up on a tablet instead of having to fumble through a pile of paperwork. Clients can choose to feature things like virtual check-in and e-worksheets as opposed to the traditional in-person event check-in and the physical distribution of paperwork to attendees.
Some tricks from 2020 certainly translate to a world where masks are optional and working from home is a preference.
Whether you’re looking to host a virtual cocktail hour, send gratitude gifts, or reunite your team after over a year apart, DCi is here to help!
